OUR WILDLIFE

A magnificent red kite flies against a background of trees

We have been thrilled to discover the amount of wildlife at Berllan.  We have a wide range of garden birds including nuthatches, great spotted woodpeckers and jays, plus a variety of raptors - buzzards and red kites soar overhead, a sparrowhawk visits the bird feeders,  a goshawk lives in the woods and both tawny and barn owls are resident.  We also have foxes, badgers, rabbits, hedgehogs, bats, weasels, polecats, lizards and newts, plus a wide range of butterfly and other insect species.
